Welcome!Hello my friend, Ely Shemer here, with another issue of the weekend news. It was Albert Einstein who said that Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. If you are struggling with your online business, doing the same things will yield the same results. If you want to create different (and better) results in your business then it is time to try something else. However, it does not need to be something new. More often than not, returning to the basics – the “old” proven methods – is the best course of action. Building an online business is not all techniques and tactics. “Begin with the end in mind” – start your business building activities with a well constructed plan of action, designed to enable you to achieve your goals. Read on to learn more about the basics and don’t forget to check out the recommended programs, showcased on the left. What Is Affiliate Marketing and How Can I Earn An Income From It? Many people have a dream of working from home and making a full-time income. This is likely because most people have experienced the long commutes to and from work as well as feeling like they are overworked and underpaid. However, as with any new venture that you decide to start, you need to first understand exactly what it is you’re getting into before you commit yourself. In other words, don’t quit your day job until you understand exactly what affiliate marketing is in the first place. For some people, the idea of working from home on the Internet is very appealing. Some folks have the idea that Internet marketers work in their pajamas all day long while sipping cups of coffee and listening to their favorite TV programs in the background. Some people may work from home in this kind of environment, but the vast majority of successful Internet marketers don’t approach their business this way. Affiliate marketing is one part of the Internet industry that is extremely popular to those who are new to the business. So what is affiliate marketing? Affiliate marketing is simply placing yourself between a vendor and the customer so that you can collect a commission on their product or service. Think about it this way: have you ever referred your friends and family members to a local restaurant that you liked? You’ve probably done this a million times over the course of your life. However, what if every time you referred a friend, the owner of the restaurant paid you a dollar? Would you refer more friends? Of course you would! This is a very simplistic explanation of what affiliate marketing is. Basically, you will try to get your specially made link in front of as many customers as possible who are interested in the product or service that you are an affiliate for. Let’s say, for instance, that you would like to delve into the panic attack niche. You have heard that people really suffer with that disorder and you want to sell a specific e-book which talks about how to overcome it. The first thing you might decide to do is build a free website about panic attacks and anxiety. Using free or paid traffic generation methods, your goal will be to bring as many customers as possible to your website. Your site may have banner advertisements or anchor text links that will allow someone to click through to the product you’re selling. If they buy the e-book, the vendor will automatically pay you a commission. E-books often carry higher commission rates so you could get upwards of 50 to 75%. Let’s say that this particular e-book sells for $47 and you get 50% of that. That means that you will receive $23.50 for every sale you make. You can probably see from this example how lucrative affiliate marketing can be if it’s done correctly. If you are able to generate enough traffic and interest in your topic, you could potentially sell dozens and dozens of these e-books each month. Remember that this is simply one website with one niche. Most affiliate marketers start ramping up their efforts which increases their income at the same time. You could decide to target several different keywords that are all related to the panic attack niche, build websites for each and take over page 1 of Google. There really is no limit to what can be done if you are willing to put in the work and the time that’s required.
Once you have mastered the marketing skills you have learned as an affiliate marketer you may be ready to take your business to the next level: having your own product and affiliate program. When you come to this stage, the biggest issue you will be facing is creating a product. One way of getting around this issue is to find a high quality PLR product and make it your own. Mind you, it has to be a high quality product of for it to work. I was able to negotiate a good deal for you at the new PLR Niche Club. This program offers high quality PLR products that come with everything you will need in order to turn them into a business. Check it out now while it’s fresh on your mind. I don’t know how long he will keep the $1 trial open (and the special $10 discount I got for you).
If you are looking for free products you can use, sell or give your customers as incentives, Giveaway events are a great place to look for those.
Yes, you will have to signup for the gifts however this may actually be an advantage as you will be able to see and learn what other marketers are doing.
On my blog, I have a page dedicated to giveaway events with lots of free information and a list of the events I’m participating in.
This week I’m recommending The Spring Has Sprung Giveaway.
Some of the best information I have with me and wanted to pass on to you, unfortunately, can not be given away. So I’ve done the next best thing, and created this $1 deal, to make it as affordable as possible. Check it out and let me know what you think of it. I’d love to get your feedback. This week I wanted to present: Business Building Basics. It’s a 106 minutes audio in MP3 format with a transcript in PDF. Go HERE to see what this is all about – don’t miss out! This is an extremely difficult question to answer because there are so many complex factors involved. Specifically they techniques you employ in your Internet marketing campaign as well as the execution of these techniques can determine whether or not Internet marketing will work for your business. Additionally, the likelihood of your target audience using the Internet and responding to your marketing efforts should also be considered into the equation. This article will outline the potential for success in an Internet marketing campaign.
Before making the decision to embark on an Internet marketing campaign you should carefully consider your target audience. The Internet is used widely around the world but whether or not members of your target audience are likely to utilize the Internet to research or purchase the products or services you sell is not guaranteed. This is significant because investing a great deal of time, effort and money into Internet marketing when your target audience is not likely to respond to these efforts is not worthwhile.
Conducting market research can do a great deal to help you determine whether or not you should invest in an Internet marketing campaign for your business. This step is very important because it will give you a good indication of whether or not you should even begin marketing your business on the Internet. Hiring a firm specializing in market research is recommended because they can conduct this research quickly and efficiently and will likely gain a great deal of valuable information as a result of their research efforts. If they determine your business can benefit from an Internet marketing campaign, it is time to start thinking about how you want to advertise your business online.
Again, seeking the help of professionals can be an extremely worthwhile investment. If you are not well versed in the industry of Internet marketing, hiring a firm with a great deal of expertise in this industry can be very helpful. They can assist you by consulting with you to determine which marketing strategies will be most effective, designing advertisements for your campaign, helping you to orchestrate your Internet marketing campaign and evaluating the results of marketing efforts to determine which strategies are working and which are not.
The potential for success with an Internet marketing campaign is virtually limitless. The success you enjoy is only limited by your ability to promote your products and services and execute effective marketing strategies. Some of the marketing strategies you may wish to employ may include optimizing your website for relevant search terms, placing links to your website judiciously on the Internet, writing and publishing e-newsletters and utilizing affiliates to promote your website.
Search engine optimization (SEO) is one of the most important aspects of any Internet marketing campaign. SEO is so important because it dictates the ranking of your website on popular search engines. Internet users value these results and are not likely to seek out websites which do not rank well with search engines. Conversely, high ranking websites can enjoy a great deal of increased website traffic as a result of these rankings.
Inbound links to your website are also important in Internet marketing. Inbound links are links on other websites which direct users to your website. These links are important in an Internet marketing campaign. First of all many search engines factor inbound links into their ranking algorithms which means inbound links can result in higher search engines rankings. Also, these links can be used directly by website users to access your website. This means you can gain traffic directly from these links.
Another way to enjoy a successful Internet marketing campaign is to orchestrate an affiliate marketing campaign. Affiliates are essentially website owners who place a banner ad on their website to direct traffic to your website. Typically, affiliates are only compensated when the advertisement on their website produces a desired effect such as enticing the users to click through the advertisement, resulting in a sale or resulting in another action such as filling out a survey or registering with your website. Affiliate marketing can not only be highly effective but it is also cost effective because you only pay the affiliates when they produce results.

Search engine optimization (SEO) should be considered a critical element of any Internet marketing strategy. This is important because there is so much which can be gained from SEO in terms of Internet marketing and advertising. Failure to optimize your website for search engines can result in a considerable loss in terms of free advertising which is essentially gained from ranking well with search engines. This article will provide insight into what SEO is and will explain why Internet marketing requires at least some degree of SEO.
SEO optimization is a strategy in which a website is designed to obtain favorable search engine rankings from popular search engines. This may be achieved in a variety of different ways and optimal SEO strategies combine a variety of different strategies to complete one well orchestrated SEO campaign. There are several elements to consider when attempting to optimize your website for search engines. This may include keyword density, prominence, META tags, titles and inbound links. Keyword density is one of the most common SEO strategies and essentially involves using relevant keywords often in the content of a website to demonstrate the relevance of these keywords to the website. This is important because search engines are likely to reward websites with optimal keyword densities with favorable search engine rankings in an effort to provide Internet users with the most relevant websites for particular search terms.
The prominence of keywords should also be considered. This includes how close the keywords are placed to the beginning of the website. The common mistake with this strategy is to believe the first opportunity to incorporate keywords is in the first line of visible text on the webpage. This is not true because search engines crawl the code of a website as opposed to the visible content on the website. This means there are multiple opportunities to incorporate relevant keywords long before the actual visible content on the website. This might include the code for the title as well as the META tags. Business owners who realize the potential for incorporating keyword into the code gain an advantage over competitors who only incorporate keywords into the content on their website.
Another area of concern which is very important for those who are interested in SEO is inbound links. Inbound links are essentially links which reside on other websites and direct traffic to your website. These links are considered important because many search engines place a value on inbound links because they are essentially an example of one website recommending another website. However, when obtaining inbound links it is important to do so from other websites which rank well with search engines because many search engines consider the rank of the original website when determining the value of the inbound link.
Now that we have briefly explained some of the main concept of SEO, we will illustrate why it is important to optimize your website in the first place. SEO is so important because most Internet users highly value the results of search engines and are likely to only visit to ranking websites when they search for a particular keyword. Internet users trust search engines to serve the most relevant content first and are therefore not likely to visit websites which do not fall on the first or second page of search results. This means websites which rank well essentially are receiving a great deal of free advertising from search engines that place their website in a key position. Website owners who do not invest time into optimizing their websites miss out on a great deal of potential web traffic.

In general the answer to this question is always but the answer is much more involved. Sure Internet marketing is worthwhile but as with any type of marketing it is only worthwhile if it is done well. For example you can spend thousands of dollars on a television marketing campaign but if no one sees your commercials or your commercials do not reach your target audience and generate sales, the advertising was not worthwhile. So perhaps a more appropriate answer to this question would be that Internet marketing is worthwhile when it works. This is a rather vague statement but this article will investigate the issue further and explain how you can make Internet marketing work for your business.
One of the most basic principles of marketing is to make sure you reach your target audience. This is so important because your target audience is the people who are most likely going to be interested in purchasing your products or services. It is much easier to sell your products or services to those who already have an interest in the products and services you have to offer than it is to convince those who are not interested in your products or services at all. As an example consider a business who sells fishing rods. You will want to market your products to those who enjoy fishing either competitively or as a leisure activity because among this audience you are likely to find people who may be interested in purchasing a new fishing rod. It would make sense to place an advertisement for your business on a website selling bait and tackle or a website which organizes fishing trips in exotic locations. Conversely it would not make sense to place your advertisement on a website selling telescopes because you are not likely to reach a large target audience here. There may be some stargazers with an interest in fishing but your advertising dollars and efforts would be better spent placing advertisements with websites more closely related to your business.
Another factor to consider when purchasing advertising space on another Internet website is traffic the amount of traffic the other website receives. This is significant because you want to place your advertisement on a website which is closely related to your own and likely to attract a similar audience but you also want your advertisement to receive a large amount of attention. For this reason it is important for your advertisement to appear on a website which receives a great amount of traffic each month. This will help to ensure your business is getting a great deal of exposure through this advertising.
When it comes to Internet advertising, there is a fine line between great advertising and spam. Some business owners get carried away trying to get as much exposure as possible and can sometimes go overboard and wind up being considered spam. Internet users who see your advertisement in a couple of key locations will likely notice the advertisement and may be compelled to visit your website immediately or may keep your website in mind for future use. However, Internet users who see your advertisement everywhere they look are likely to view your advertisement as spam. This can be harmful because they are not likely to visit your website because they expect it to not be worthwhile.
In any Internet marketing campaign it is important to carefully monitor the results of your marketing efforts and make changes to your campaign as necessary. This is important because you want to make sure your marketing efforts are paying off and the best way to do this is to evaluate the results of your advertising carefully. One way to do this is to place specially coding in each one of your advertisements so you will know which advertisements are generating business for you and which ones are not. You can use this information to decide whether you should modify the ineffective website or stop running these advertisements. If you decide to modify them you will want to continue to monitor the results to determine whether or not the changes made the advertisements more effective.

If you are currently marketing your business online and have not put a great deal of thought into the content on your website, you may be making an incredibly costly mistake. The content on your website is invaluable for a number of reasons. First of all it gives visitors to your website their first impression of your business and the products and services you offer. Additionally, well written content can be instrumental in selling your products and services to your potential customers. Finally, the content on your website can influence the size of the target audience you are able to reach by helping to improve your search engine rankings. With your content capable of doing so much, it is clear you should be hiring a professional content writer to assist you writing the copy for your website. This article will delve deeper into the importance of providing accurate, concise and informative content on your website when you are marketing online.
One of the most basic reasons why the quality of the content on your website is so important is because visitors to your website will likely form their initial opinions of your website based on the content on your website. If the copy is poorly written, does not hold the visitors attention and does not promote your products and services well visitors are likely to exit your website without making a purchase. Conversely, if the copy on your website is well written, engages the reader and promotes the products and services you offer the visitor is more likely to investigate the website further to learn more about the products and services and may make a purchase. The content of your website will be one of the aspects of the website which is first noticed by visitors so it is important for this content to be well written.
Well written sales copy can also be very persuasive and may compel visitors to the website to purchase the products or services offered on the website. This is important especially if the main purpose of the website is to sell the products or services. The sales copy should accurately describe the products or services offered, stress the importance of these products and services and compel the visitor to make a purchase. All of this should be done without appearing to be blatantly advertising the products and services. Writing this type of copy can be quite complicated and typically requires hiring a sales copywriter who is experienced and skilled at writing this type of informative and persuasive content. Sales copy written by an amateur or an inexperienced writer will not likely be as effective as copy written by a professional with a great deal of experience in Internet marketing.
Finally the content on your website is very important because it can greatly influence your search engine rankings. This is critical because high search engine rankings help your business to reach a considerably larger audience. Internet users are typically looking for information quickly and want immediate results to their inquiries. Search engines understand this profile and write complicated algorithms which help them to supply the most relevant websites when a user searches for a particular word or phrase. This is important to business owners because Internet users realize the value of search engines and are likely to only visit websites which rank well in the search engines. This includes websites which rank on the first page or two of search results. Your business might sell football jerseys and you may have a well designed website, a superior inventory and excellent prices but if your website does not rank well in search engines you are missing out on a great deal of free advertising. If your website lands on the third page or lower most visitors who search for relevant terms will not likely visit your website because they will have found what they were looking for on earlier pages. This is where the content on your website becomes important. Websites containing content which has been optimized for particular keywords will likely rank well with search engines. Hiring a writer skilled in writing optimized content can help to improve your search engine rankings so you can reach more potential customers.

Online courses, or email courses are becoming an increasingly popular way for savvy Internet marketers to promote their products and services. Online courses or email courses essentially include short online presentations or emails which include insightful information on a particular niche subject. These courses are usually offered in multiple, short segments to keep the students interested in the topic. This type of advertising serves a useful purpose and many of the participants do not even realize they are being subjected to a marketing campaign. This article will discuss creating and distributing an online or email course for the purposes of advertising your business.
The creation of an online course of an email course should begin with a solid idea for a series of educational articles which pertain to your business and will be of interest to your potential customers. Educational email courses can sometimes be sold for profit themselves but if you are interested in using the courses as marketing tools you will most likely be offering these courses free of charge in an effort to entice potential customers to purchase your products or services.
Determining the topic of your courses is very important because it can dictate the success of your marketing effort. Consider an online retailer of running shoes. This business owner may want to develop a series of email courses on subjects such as training for a marathon, preventing injuries, increasing speed and running for fun. Each of these courses may contain a few segments which offer different perspectives on the subject. These courses are ideal for this business because they are subjects which are likely to be of interest to the customers of the business. Likewise a real estate agent may opt to offer email courses on subjects such as understanding mortgage options, finding a lender or house hunting. Again these are all subjects which are likely to be of interest to the real estate agents clients.
The distribution list for your online or email courses should mostly include members of your target audience. This can be achieved by either offering the course as a download online where only interested Internet users will partake in the course or only emailing the course to recipients who have specifically expressed an interest in receiving more information about your products and services and have submitted their email address for this purpose.
Once you decide on a subject for your online or email course, seek out a qualified writer to create the content for your online or email course. This will help to give your copy a more professional appearance. The writer can assist you by creating copy which is informative and useful to your readers but is also well written, clear, concise and easy to understand. If your niche topic is highly specialized you might have to provide the writer with product information as well as research materials to ensure the content is informative and accurate. Additionally, you should review the content once it is completed to verify the accuracy.
When distributing your email course or launching your online course, it is helpful to request feedback from the users as the conclusion of the course. This is completely voluntary but when users respond they can provide you with useful feedback which will be extremely helpful if you intend to launch a similar marketing campaign in the future.

Hello my friend,
I hope all is well with you.
Less than 2 days till the new year will be upon us. A new year is a great occasion for new beginnings. A new year is more than just a changed number on the calendar. It’s time to take stock and re-group. Time to review and adjust, striving for better results.
I have learned a lot in 2009 and looking forward to implementing it in 2010. What about you my friend? What have you learned in 2009? What are your plans for 2010? I’d love to hear about it…
Beginning of January I plan to launch a new product in the IM niche and I’m looking for JV partners. If you have a big list, a track record in JV or affiliate marketing or otherwise want to JV with me, drop me a line (tell me about your experience) and I’ll send you all the details.
A short while ago I told you about these amazing gifts from Dan Kenndy. Quiet a few of you already took advantage of this offer and registered for the fr*ee products. There are only 2 days left for you to get it!
One of the best tips I can leave you with for your 2010 success goals is to be very wise with how you spend your TIME.
Sure, money might be tight… but money CAN be created. Time can’t.
And that also means being careful with which “experts” you spend time studying.
Of those, Dan Kennedy is naturally a top choice. He’s been successfully building big businesses for longer than most of today’s up-and-coming internet marketers have even been alive…
Do NOT miss this chance to download 2 of his courses for fr*ee.
Grab your gift-access to Dan Kennedy’s “Raise Yourself from Mediocrity to Mill*ionaire” and his “What It Takes To Make $100k In The Next 100 Days With Info-Products!” audios here…
The “catch” is you’ll be shown a special offer after you register. It’s optional, of course… they don’t force you to purchase it. But YOU should force yourself. The special offer is for the lowest price on the #1 info-wealth course on the market… it’s Dan’s INFO RICHES.
Again, it’s optional and you can get your freebies without needing to purchase anything but I’d say that course is a must in your library… especially at the holiday pricing they’ve created for it.
Register for gift-access to your Dan Kennedy courses here:
I hope you were having a great time during the holidays and I wish you a very happy and prosperous new year! May 2010 be for you whatever you want it to be…
Wishing you success,
Ely Shemer
